USA family visa interviews resume
The 31st of December the Colombian Health Ministry passed a new resolution requiring all incoming international airline passengers have a negative Covid-19 test issued within 96 hours of the departure flight. The United States Embassy in Bogota send out an email on January 5th stating that the new requirement will become active on January 12th, 2021. ** Testing or Entry Requirements may change without notice ** Always check with your airlines the day before you travel and the day of travel for any last minute changes!
For international flights the Colombian Ministry of Health has issued a resolution that dictates protocols that all airlines and passengers must follow for entering and leaving Colombia. The Colombian Health Ministry has reactivated covid testing for international flights to be reactivated. The most important requirement for international flights entering Colombia is of course the negative COVID-19 PCR test result with less than 96 hours before programmed flight departure time.
The official posting from the ministry of health can be found at this link (click here)
Prior to your flight Colombian Immigration (Migracion Colombia) requires that you go to the Migracion Colombia website “CHECK-MIG”, no more than 24 hours before you fly, and no less than one hour before, to register. If this is not done THE AIRLINES WILL NOT LET YOU FLY. Click here to visit the website CHECK-MIG. Please do this before you get to the airport. The system often has problems and if the website is down the airline will not let you board! We have heard of 100 people getting left behind because the immigration website was down.
Finally please check with your airline regarding forms you need to fill out regarding your health and special COVID-19 requirements. Information is changing every day, as big organizations take time to update reservation agents, etc. Before you board you will probably be asked to confirm a list of questions regarding your health, such as if you have had a headache, fever, etc.
