Required Vaccinations for USA Residency Visas
We highly recommend not getting new vaccinations immediately before the interview (the Medical Panel frequently requires new vaccinations since those received by other medical service providers do not meet the standards required by the United States Public Health Service or you You may receive vaccinations that are not appropriate for your age and medical condition). It is best to wait and receive a vaccine directly from the designated Medical Panel, to ensure it meets US standards.

Important Notice to Immigrant Visa Applicants Regarding Immunization Requirements
US immigration law requires that immigrant visa applicants receive certain immunizations before being granted an immigrant visa. The medical team conducting the medical examination of the immigrant visa applicant must confirm that the immigrant visa applicant meets the immunization requirements or that the visa applicant is medically ineligible to receive one or more of the vaccines listed. :
• Hepatitis A
• Hepatitis B
• Influenza
• Influenza type b (Hib)
• Measles
• Meningococcal
• Mumps
• pneumococcal
• Whooping cough
• Polio
• Rotavirus
• Rubella
• Tetanus and diphtheria
• Chickenpox
All immigrant visa applicants are required to carry proof of immunizations to be reviewed by medical staff during immigration health examinations to support medical staff and prevent immigrant visa processing delays. Visa applicants should consult their primary care physician to obtain a copy of their immunization records. If you do not have immunization records your healthcare team will work with you to determine which immunizations should meet your needs. Partial waivers from immunization requirements are available upon recommendation of a medical panel.
Only a doctor can tell which of the above vaccines is right for you based on your age history and current health.
