Humanitarian Flights to Colombia from USA
Colombia Coordinating Humanitarian Repatriation Flights For Citizens Stranded Abroad
All Colombians and foreigners with arriving on these flights must comply with the mandatory isolation measure in the city of Bogotá, under penalty of administrative and criminal sanctions for non-compliance. However, by contacting your local consulate you may discover direct flights to other cities. If you land in a city that is not your final destination then you must comply with mandatory isolation in that city. Most flights are landing directly in Bogota. You must comply with isolation in a hotel if you do not have a place to stay in Bogota. The authorities are asking for hotel information and license plate number for car that will pick you up at the airport. Migracion, Colombia will visit you in your place of mandatory isolation (quarantine). They are extremely serious if you are not found at the location designated. We also recommend that you have proof of how urgent your situation is to return to Colombia. Proof of rental contracts, or property ownership will help establish you have residency in Colombia. A well redacted letter explaining your situation to migracion Colombia is also recommended to ease entry into Colombia. The consulates are the first hurdle to clear as they will approve you for the flight. Once you arrive you will be questioned by migracion Colombia at the airport before being granted entry.
