How to Get Colombia Business Visa in 2020
The Colombia investor or investment visa is intended for foreigners who make an investment in either a business or buy a property in Colombia. The investment visa is easy to obtain provided that you fulfill all the requirements.
The investment visa was previously known as TP-7 visa and was divided into two categories. The TP-7 visa was a temporary visa and the resident investor visa also known as RE visa was a permanent resident visa. The RE visa required a large investment in local real estate or business.
In December 2017, Colombia changed its visa laws. Now, the TP-7 visa is known as migrant (M) visa of category 6 (M-6) for investment in a business or category 10 (M-10) for investment in a property. The RE visa is now known as resident (R) visa.
The business visa (M-6) is valid for three years. Even though these visas allow multiple entries into Colombia, they lose their validity if you stay out of Colombia for more than six months consecutively. The cost of visa application for M-6 is $282.
The resident (R) visa which requires a large investment either in business or property is valid for five years. You can enter or leave Colombia as many times as you like on this visa. But you cannot stay out of Colombia for more than two year consecutively if you have a resident visa. If you do, then you will lose this resident visa. The cost of visa application for resident (R) visas is $443.

Testimonials from a current and former clients who got a Colombian visas successfully.
Worked with James and Cristina on buying first property in Colombia. They were very knowledgable in Colombia law and banking. Went the extra mile to guide us thru the process of transferring foreign funds, reviewing/advising purchase documents, and walking us thru the maze of legalities. Invaluable, and in dual languages! Thanks to them the process was completed in less than one month!
I had James take care of the renewing of my US passport and all went very well I did not have to go to Bogota and all was completed with a new passport in a little over 2 weeks !! Highly reccomend.
This is really a dependable and reliable legal and accounting service, and for me it was nice being able to turn over these sometimes laborious tasks to competent and trustworthy professionals. I’ll be recommending them to my friends as well.
